Building Strong Foundations – 2nd grade Bible Event
Building Strong Foundations is an interactive Bible event offered to all 2nd grade students and their parents! This introduction to the Bible is led by Children’s Ministry. All who participate will receive a free Adventure Bible. This event is held on a Saturday in April from 4 – 6:30 p.m. (worship begins at 5:30 p.m.)
Building Blocks of Faith – Preschool Bible Event
Building Blocks of Faith is a free event for families with preschoolers ages 3-5. This event includes activity stations for kids and a parenting seminar for adults. Children are presented with a free Beginner’s Bible at the end of the program and families are encouraged to stay for worship immediately following. This event is held on a Saturday in October from
4:00 – 6:30 p.m. (worship begins at 5:30 p.m.)
D.O.C.K. (Sunday School)
The D.O.C.K. stands for the Discovery of Christ’s Kingdom and is HCLC’s name for Sunday School.
Classes meet on Sunday from September to May at the Janesville Road Campus from 9:05 – 10:20 a.m.
The D.O.C.K. is a ministry for children ages 3 by September 1 of the current school year through 5th grade. A DOCK class for children and young adults with special needs is held from 10:45a.m.-12:05p.m.
Held during worship services and is intended to introduce children to who God is and to worship Him through praise, Bible stories, activities and prayer. For children ages 3 through 2nd grade. Meets Saturdays during the 5:30 p.m. service or Sundays during the 11:00 a.m. service Sept. – June. Summer months: June – August, meets during the 9:15 a.m. service.
Timber Trails is a 3-day, 2-night camp for 3rd and 4th graders (current school year). Campers will enjoy God’s Creation and learn about His Word (and have loads of fun too!). This event is held in August.
VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is offered to children age 4 by the month of VBS through those who have completed 3rd grade. Children with special needs are welcome. VBS is a great opportunity for children to learn about Jesus through fun Bible-learning activities that they can see, hear, touch, and even taste! Keepsake craft items, team-building games, lively Bible songs and healthy treats are just a few of the activities that help kids discover Jesus.
